DJborg App Design Assignment

DJborg web app design assignment is based on a fictitious DJ booking app for music event planners and djs.

THE PROBLEM:
The mobile experience is not optimized for its primary users (event organizers) who mainly access the app on their phone due to their busy schedules.

Issues that needed to be solved for optimal mobile experience:
-Include features Event Organizers use most which are search, filter options, compare, and the ability to book
-design a landing page where the initial search functionality is front and center, and present the value proposition.

THE SOLUTION:
The solution included a low-fidelity mobile prototype of a user searching, comparing, and booking a DJ. It also included hi-fidelity desktop landing page.

IMPACT & RESULTS:
-Optimized the mobile booking experience for primary users users providing search, filters, compare, and booking functionality
-Simplified the process from search to book into 4 steps
-Designed a landing page which integrated the initial search functionality using a chatbot, included the value proportion, and included several opportunities to sign up to DJborg

WIREFRAMES - QUICK SKETCHES

WIREFRAMES - QUICK SKETCHES

A few sketches of what the process would be for onboarding and signing in. I was sketching the steps plus thinking of element placement. A few sketches of the customer journey for an event organizer. I realized during this process there are two types of event organizers.

There are two primary types of DJborg users:
1) Event organizers (new and returning)
2) Robot DJs or owners of robot DJs

WIREFRAMES - LOW FIDELITY

My job was to create wireframes that would create optimal optimization of the user’s mobile experience and to include the search, filter and book options (most popular features).

I was able to simplify the process from search to book into 4 easy steps
1) explore: search and set filters
2) request: search only the results the user wants
3) compare: compare DJs and save their info for a later time
4) book: book anytime from when the user starts searching)

LANDING PAGE

LANDING PAGE

I designed a landing page which integrated the initial search functionality using a chatbot. I included the value proportion at the top and included several opportunities to sign up to DJborg

CHATBOT

CHATBOT

A chatbot was integrated into the page to allow users to search for DJs or search for any product-specific questions.
